Tashkent hokimiyat plans to undertake renovation of mahallas and streets using a unified code based on the practices of Sydney, Australia. Hokim Shavkat Umurzakov announced the initiative. “Ideal conditions should extend beyond the city center, in the most challenging and remote mahallas,” he said.

Tashkent launches Air Tashkent: city’s new air quality monitoring portal
Air quality in Tashkent can now be monitored on Air Tashkent portal. The department of digital development under the hokimiyat installed 10 air quality monitoring stations, with 30 more planned ahead. The website also shows registered fire, location of heating centers and other data.
